
Al-Muizz Street
The name of this historic street has changed many times before it was finally settled as Al-Muizz Street, in honor of the Fatimid Caliph Al-Muizz li-Din Allah for his contributions to Cairo. The city itself is also referred to as Al-Muizz’s Cairo in recognition of him.
